a tiny tidbit.
Let’s talk about fear.
From first impressions, people would think I am fearless (shoutout to my Leo Rising) but is far from true. I have many doubts and fears about myself often. I am bold and brass when it comes to standing up for others. I’ve made a living from it. But that unrelenting, unwavering sense of self. Yeah, not something that I have been the strongest at. Delving deeper into Human Design and learning about the pieces that God made you is crazy and illuminating. If you don’t know, Human Design is chakras, numerology, astrology, and more to figure out your unique gifts and your life theme.
What is crazy is my life theme and purpose is called:
Right Angle Cross of The Unexpected 3 (28/27| 31/41): To cultivate unwavering faith in yourself and life.
What does that even mean, amrite?
Life is a big unknown. No matter what seeming obstacles that are in my path, lead with the faith that there will be lessons to learn to change me for the better. My purpose and goal is whatever situation I am in is to think “how can improve it?”.
This clicked for me in a way didn’t know it would. In Human Design, you have energy types. We all have purpose and roles to play in certain energy type. My energy type is Projector. Projectors have the gift of seeing things in a way that others can’t. Our value will come from what folks see us versus what we do, essentially giving our insights.
The fear of speaking up and/or showcasing my talents are always met with internal fear. My fear manifests like this: I would something really well and then I would completely fall off even though folks were like the content or the blog or my cheese boards. I would just stop, be frozen by fear of the what if this and/or that, which is a major problem I am therapy unpacking. I dabble too much in the unknown, which my human design path literally told me would be my biggest challenge. Reading my life theme and remembering 2 Timothy 1:7 “For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” I am reminded that God and the Universe got me and honors me.
So how about I honor myself? So yes, this newsletter will serve as a constant driving force for me to get back into the creative pursuits I love like art, writing, Broadway musicals, modeling, painting and more. It is time to put myself back out there in all of messy beauty that is me and let myself be seen, heard, and felt. I hope you will enjoy and join me in community.

New Look on Apple TV+
The story follows Christian Dior and his contemporaries, including Coco Chanel, Pierre Balmain and Cristóbal Balenciaga, lived through the horrors of World War II and launch modern fashion. Including a star studded cast Ben Mendelsohn, Juliette Binoche, Maisie Williams, and more. I completely binged this series once I saw the trailer. Christian Dior is one of my favorite fashion houses. I love that Coco Chanel is being dragged for her affiliation with the German Nazis.
The Kreeger Museum

The Kreeger Museum was the former home of David Lloyd Kreeger and Carmen Kreeger. David’s name may sound familiar. He was the former CEO of GIECO and saved it from failure to the juggernaut it is today. The museum contains art from their personal collection they acquired from 1952 to 1988, as well as, other loans they receive from other museums. Plenty of Picasso, Monet, Stella and more. They are doing intimate jazz concert series this month on Saturdays for $35 a ticket.
Please note, there is an entry fee/timed tickets for $15 per person.
Niccara’s Book Club Recommendation
When No One is Watching by Alyssa Cole
I’m from Baltimore and I remember growing up and my family used to tell stories about Black folks disappearing around certain areas in the city. (Who else is from Baltimore and heard that?)
Alyssa Cole had me on the edge of my seat the entire time during this book. Set in Brooklyn, NY- Sydney is desperate to save her neighborhood from gentrification and finds unwanted helped in her neighbor Theo. What they both weren’t expecting in the sea of ring lights and new neighbors is the deep secrets buried underneath and surrounding them. If thrillers are jam- go ahead and give this a read.
See you two weeks from now. Toodles dolls.
Love!
So excited for this Niccara!
